Installation

  • Sandwich panels which are arranged in desired lengths are delivered to the worksite by trucks.
  • Roofing materials shall be lifted to the roof generally by a crane. To avoid spot load of the package they shall be distributed over the roof surface.Also, they shall be tied securely to prevent being dragged by winds. If the roof inclination may seem to cause the panels to slide necessary measures shall be taken.
  • Accessories which remain under roof panel (lower ridge, underside eaves, valley gutter, gutter etc.) shall be installed prior to the panel.Gloves shall be worn to prevent cuts and scratches.
  • Installation crew shall wear rubber sole shoes to prevent any damage to panelsurfaces.In the case that panels are required to be cut, appropriate saw or jigsaw machine shall be used. Saw surface must always be kept cool in order to prevent any damage to panel surface.
  • Painted surfaces shall be protected during welding or cutting works.Metal scrap formed during cutting and boring works shall be swept away with a brush. Otherwise they may cause corrosion within a few months.
  • Flat rubber sole work shoes shall be worn and walking plank shall used in order to prevent the panels from being crushed while working on the roof.
  • Number of screws used for installation shall be determined according to wind conditions and other details. A minimum number of 3 screws and 1.5 screws shall be used on the roof panel and façade panel respectively.Before commencing installation works direction of the wind shall be analyzed.
  • The installation shall progress towards the opposite direction of the dominant winds.On side overlaps, the lower part shall be installed prior to the upper part.
  • The panel is screw mounted on the below support piece. Always, EPDM rubber gasket screws shall be used.
  • When the entire roof surface is covered with panels, accessories which remain on the top are installed.
  • All connection points shall be insulated by preventing any heat bridge.
  • Mineral Wool Insulated Sandwich Panels are more sensitive and heavy products compared to other sandwich panels. Due care shall be realized during handling, unloading and worksite storage phases.
  • Top of the stocks shall always be covered; protection of rockwool or glasswool insulation filling against moisture shall be guaranteed.
  • Dirt which accumulates on the metal surfaces during or after installation can be cleaned with conventional cleaning agents and water.
  • Chemical solvents shall not be used since they may damage the coating.
